Have you ever heard of Derek Muller? You may know him better as Veritasium on YouTube. He is an awesome science educator and science communicator and has a cool, unique way of “teaching”. He does a lot of experiments with everyday people out on the streets around the world to see what they think will happen, and then asks them to try and figure out why the result was what it was.
Here is a cool simple example, with some help from a professor he holds air slinky and a ball in the air and then lets go. What do you think happens (and why)?
I have to admit, I was surprised by the outcome, but then the fun part is trying to figure out the reason for the real answer without being told.
